Michele Finn Johnson Wins The 2021 Moon City Short Fiction Award

The editors of Moon City Press would like to congratulate Michele Finn Johnson of Tucson, Arizona, for winning first prize in the 2021 Moon City Short Fiction Award competition. Her collection, Development Times Vary, will be published later this year, and she will be awarded the $1,000 prize.

Michele Finn Johnson’s work has appeared in A Public Space, Colorado Review, Mid-American Review, DIAGRAM, SmokeLong Quarterly, and elsewhere. Her work was selected for the 2019 The Best Small Fictions anthology, won an AWP Intro Journals Award in nonfiction, and has been nominated several times for The Pushcart Prize, Best of the Net anthology, and Best Microfiction.
