Joel Hans Wins The 2024 Moon City Short Fiction Award
Congratulations to Joel Hans for being named winner of the 2024 Moon City Short Fiction Award for his story collection, The Bedtime Emptying of Our World. This collection will be published by MCP later this year, and Hans will receive the $1,000 prize.
Joel Hans is a writer in Tucson, Arizona. His fiction appears in Fairy Tale Review, Story, West Branch, The Journal, Booth, and other venues and has been anthologized in Best Small Fictions. He received his MFA from the University of Arizona and now edits Astrolabe, a literary journal in the form of a dynamic universe.
Sudha Balagopal and Zachary Vickers have been named runners-up in the competition.
